Intergalactic Trade Union (IGTU)
The Intergalactic Trade Union or IGTU was formed as part the coalition of Earth nations. There was a need to protect Earth's interest in the galaxy as the planet expanded its reaches outside the solar system. The military organisation is split into two main departments, each specialising in the defense of Earth's interests and internal security as well as the exploration of other galaxies. They are known as the Department of Defense and the Department of Reconnaissance respectively.

Department of Defense

The Department of Defense of the IGTU is tasked in the total charge of all areas of defense, both internally and externally. The department deals additionally with security topics of the organisation and has a command fleet to bolster its defensive capabilities. The department is purely defensive in nature and will only react when threatened.
Department of Reconaissance
​
The Department of Reconnaissance is the exploratory sector of the IGTU tasked to acquire new knowledge and technologies beyond the galaxy we know as the Milky Way. The department also deals with diplomacy through deterrent means through the use of its military capabilities. The department is not hostile in nature but may use force if necessary when provoked during exploratory missions.
